Our Story
Established in 2006, the Lullabye Foundation is a registered 501(c)3 and is comprised of a group of individuals who exist to create good nights, sweet dreams and sun-filled days for children and their families who are lost in the shadows of the communities where they live. We come from all kinds of backgrounds. Some of us are quite accomplished according to the world’s standards. Most of us are just regular people trying our best to make a few good things happen for kids who need a boost - at home, and in other places where they live out their lives. We are artists, storytellers, businessmen and women, educators, counselors, doctors, lawyers, people from every background sharing a common thread; a passion for children and families.

Please see our OLD website for some of our past projects. Because of the Pandemic, Lullabye was on "pause" for about two years. With the world opening back up again, we decided to update our website and focus our efforts on international organizations and also schools in IL. Our former website has many of our past impacts and pictures you can view at: https://www.lullabyefoundation.org/

How much money do you usually give to schools?

It depends on the needs of the school/district and what is available. However, in years past, we typically give about $1200 to schools at the start of the year. Our hope and intention is to replenish that the following year; assuming funds are available.

Are you a registered non-profit?

Yes, we are recognized by the US Department of the Treasury as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our EIN # is available upon request.

Is there anything you don't typically give?

When working with schools, we typically stay away from giving gift cards to families because we want to make sure that any support we provide is used in a positive way. We also tend to stay away from supporting technology needs as this should be something the school/district covers.

Are you only in Lake County, IL?

The Lullabye Foundation was originally founded in Iowa, but has since primarily worked out of Illinois once Dennis and Sally moved to Lake County, IL. Lake County is where most of our efforts are done, however we also work in Central Illinois where Dennis and Sally currently reside. We are open to branching out to other local communities and counties!

Are you a faith-based organization?

Yes and no. We were founded on Christian values and beliefs and we are strong in our faith. We also work with some churches and support other Christian organizations.

At the same time, we have also worked in many public schools and non-Christian settings in which we do not express our beliefs.

We understand and accept that everyone may have a different belief system.  We are here to serve children and youth; in whatever ways we can.
